The ability to experience or to feel, wakefulness, having a sense of selfhood, and the executive control
system of the mind. It is the having of perceptions, thoughts, feelings or awareness. Spiritually, it connotes the relationship between the mind and God, or the relationship between the mind and deeper truths that are thought to be more fundamental than the physical world. Categorically, it is the awareness of the body, awareness of being aware and awareness of the life or order of the universe.
